The Gun School was founded by Charles McNeil (NRA Instructor ID: 267038834) in response to a perceived gap he observed in firearm education during a Texas License to Carry course. Charles realized that many participants lacked familiarity with guns, particularly with their own gun. This experience illuminated a pressing need for comprehensive training and education in responsible gun ownership, safety, storage and use.
With a background in teaching and training across various fields, Charles found that creating a gun training school was a natural extension of his passion. He has been a trainer in Corporate America, taught math in middle school, and instructed business and personal finance in high school. Additionally, he conducts leadership workshops and is currently a faculty member at a junior college in Texas. Teaching is not just a profession for Charles; it is a passion that excites him, and he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge with students, regardless of the subject.
At The Gun School, we strive to provide a non-intimidating, supportive and fun atmosphere where individuals and families can learn about guns safely and responsibly. Our mission is to empower new enthusiasts with the skills and confidence needed to embrace their Second Amendment rights, all while fostering a community of informed and responsible gun owners.
